About Round Table

Round Table India is an organization of non-political and non-sectarian young men between the age group of 18 and 40. Its aim is to promote service, fellowship and goodwill in National and International affairs.
Round Table India believes in Community Service through Fellowship of its members. The unique feature of RTI is that it always remains young, because the members retire when they turn 40, giving way to younger people.

Round Tables are small groups of not more than 25 - 27 young men. Each Table has a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer who conduct the business of the Table. The primary 'work' of a Round Table is to raise funds and do community service or charity. Presently Round Table India's long term project is called Freedom Through Education. Round Tables are spread across the country and the world. In India there are more than 200 Round Tables and almost 2700 members. All Round Tables follow the same meeting and business procedures so members constantly attend meetings of other Tables and make lasting connections and friends.

In Chennai there are 15 Round Tables at the time of this writing. Pondicherry has 3 such Tables. Chennai and Pondicherry form an organizational unit called Area 2. Across India there are 11 Areas. All such areas together form the national association of Tables called Round Table India.
